Exhibition Hinrich Sickenberger - with new works (paintings) in the gallery ART SPACE MARRAKECH from the 2nd to the 31stth of March, 2012 in the Medina of Marrakech. Sickenberger, cult star of the avant-garde art (video, photo, performance, installations) and pop music scene (Gina X) of 70iger and 80iger changed with his move to Marrakech in 2002 continuously his artistic expression. Inspired by the impressions of the country, the light and the forms, the people and animals he developed a new picturesque visual language. He connects subjects and tells with every picture work an imaginative story. Expressively and colorfully, very oriental and exotic, but also profound and absolutely erotically. A painted joy of life. The pictures fascinate and demand the viewer.
